مع بزوغ الفجر الجديد للدولة السعودية الحديثة على يد مؤسسها الملك عبدالعزيز، بدأت رياح التطور تهب على هذه الجزيرة المترامية الأطراف في كل المجالات ومنها مجالي المياه والكهرباء. فقد أولى –طيب الله ثراه- جل اهتمامه لتوفير سبل الراحة والرفاهية للسكان في كافة أنحاء المملكة، فكانت البداية من مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة لتلبية حاجة السكان والوافدين إليهما من حجاج بيت الله الحرام، فأمر يرحمه الله في عام 1344هـ بتعمير وإصلاح كل من عين زبيدة بمكة المكرمة وعين الزرقاء بالمدينة المنورة، كما وجه عناية المسئولين في الدولة بتوفير مياه الشرب للحجاج ولأبناء البادية وذلك بحفر الآبار وإنشاء الخزانات وأحواض تجميع مياه السيول على الطرق التي سلكها الحجاج وأبناء البادية في تنقلاتهم. وفي عام 1348هـ أصدر موحد هذا البلد الآمن الملك عبدالعزيز أوامره باستيراد جهازين لتكثيف وتقطير مياه البحر المالحة، شكلت نواه أول محطة لتحلية مياه البحر المالحة بالمملكة عرفت باسم (الكنداسة). كما أدرك الملك عبدالعزيز رحمه الله أهمية الكهرباء في المجتمع وتطوره، فأعطى الأولوية لإضاءة الحرمين الشريفين (المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي) فكانت الإنطلاقه عام 1327هـ بإضاءة المسجد النبوي الشريف بالمدينة المنورة من مولدين أحدهما يعمل بالفحم والآخر يعمل بالكيروسين، وفي عام 1338هـ تمت إضاءة الحرم المكي الشريف، وفي تاريخ 1/1/1345هـ (1925م) صدرت أول مناقصة لإنارة الحرم الشريف بمبلغ 6 قروش أميري عن كل لمبه، تلا ذلك إنطلاق المياه والكهرباء في مدن المملكة مدينة بعد مدينة وقرية بعد قرية وهجرة بعد هجرة، لتبدأ رحلة الحياة معلنة مولد أمة حديثة. تلك كانت الإنطلاقه الأولى لمسيرة قطاعي المياه والكهرباء في المملكة العربية السعودية. وما بين عهد التأسيس وهذا العهد الذي نعيشه اليوم سلسلة متواصلة من الانجازات في عهود الخير لقادة هذا البلد تمثل قصة كفاح طويلة وتحدي كبير حتى وصل الانجاز إلى ما نراه في هذا العهد الميمون ومن خلال موقع الوزارة على هذه الشبكة العنكبوتية سوف نرى هذا التطور واقعاً ملموساً في الانشطة المختلفة لقطاعي المياه والكهرباء يتطور يوماً بعد يوم، وسيضل يتطور بإذن الله طالما أن سواعد أبناء هذا البلد تبذل الجهد والعطاء في سبيل توفير مياه آمنة ودائمة وخدمات كهربائية ذات موثوقية عالية تحقق الأمن والأمان لبلدنا. وتحقق أهداف وتطلعات قادته سائلين الله عز وجل أن يوفقنا إلى كل ما فيه الخير لهذا البلد الحبيب.

   Avec l'apparition de la nouvelle nation saoudienne moderne par son fondateur le Roi Abdelaziz , un nouvel'ere soufflait sur le pays dans tous les domains et surtout le secteur de Leau et l`electricite.Le defunt `a essaye de fournir les moyens de delassement et d`aisance a toute la population dans les divers regions du royaume a commencer par la mecque et la madinah pour repondre aux besoins de la population et des pelerins.Le defunt a ordonne en 1344 H de restaurer Ein Zbida en mecque et Ein Zerka en Madinah et fournir de l`eau potable aux pelerins et au habitants Bedouins par le forage des puits et la construction des reservoirs et des bassins pour accumuler les eaux de pluie.

En 1348 H Le roi Abdulaziz a ordonner d`importer deux appareils de distillation des eaux de mer , ce qui a constitue un grand pas vers la fondation d`une station de distillation des eaux de mer dans le royaume sous le nom de Kandasah.

Le roi Abdulaziz a apercu la necessite du secteur de l`electricite dans le development de la societe et a ordonne de faire lier les lieux sacres avec l`electricite et le debut etait avec almasjeed alnabawi en 1327 H par l`intermedaire de deux generateurs ,l`un deux foncotionnait en charbon et l`autre en kerosene. En 1338 H les lieux sacres etaient toute allume en electricite. Et en 1345 H (1925) une premiere adjudication est declaree pour l`electrisation des lieux sacres ( Haram sharif) avec 6 centimes pour chaque lampes,ensuite les projets de l`eau et d`electricite ont depute dans tout le royaume annoncant la naissance d`une nation.

Celle ci a ete le dechainement de la marche des secteurs de l`eau et de l`electricite dans le royaume.Et entre l``époque de fondation et cette époque que nous vivions maintenant il y`a une toute serie des exploits des dirigeants de ce pays qui consiste une histoire de defi et d`ambition pour acquerir cette époque benefique .Et par l`intermediaire du site internete nous pouvions bien remarquer le developement de ses deux secteurs (Eau Potable-Electricite).

   With the emerging of the new down to the modern Saudi state by its founder king Abdul Aziz,the winds of development blew on the vast peninsula in al fields like the water and electricity ones the departed king greatly cared about saving the means of comfort and welfare to the population in all parts of the kingdom. The beginning was form Ain Zubydah in Makkah and Ain El- ZarKh in Madinah. He also ordered his officials to save drinking water to the pilgrims and the Beduins by digging wells and setting up dams and basins to collect the water of floods on the ways that the pilgrims and the beduins use in their transportation .

In 1348 Hegira, the king Abdel Aziz ordered the top officials to import two sets for intensifying and drilling the salty sea water and that formed a base for a first station for desalting the sea water known by Al- kindasa The departed king realized the importance of electricity in the society and its development , therefore , he gave the priority to illuminate the two holy mosques( the Kabba mosque and the prophets mosque), the beginning was in 1327 Hegira by illuminating the holy prophets mosque in Madinah from two generators , one was working by coal and another by kerosine . In 1338 Hegira the holy Kabba mosque has been illuminated.
